Paris Morthorpe

As a hand embroidery artist, Paris works with many different types of fabric and threads.  She enjoys showing how a wide range of effect and emotions can be demonstrated by the choice of materials and techniques of embroidery.

Trained in advanced embroidery techniques at the Royal School of Needlework in London, her pieces have been part of many exhibitions in the UK. Paris was selected as an Artist in Residence for the Alaska Botanical Garden in 2023. Her presentation showcased eight distinct embroidery techniques using the same design subject to illustrate how diverse hand embroidery can be.

Paris loves the challenge of demonstrating her artistry  through this unique and expressive art form.
